Ms. R. Jane Sliva has been conducting analyses of flaked stone artifacts for over 15 years and has constructed an extensive Arizona database. The technical manual she authored provides guidance regarding how to best conduct studies of flaked stone materials.

Ms. Sliva has applied her analytical approach to refine regional chronologies and to develop new insights into changes in past hunting practices.

Ms. Stacy L. Ryan has 11 years of field experience and has served as a flaked stone analyst for three years. Her projects to date have focused on Hohokam assemblages, and particularly projectile points from mortuary contexts. She is currently building a database of Hohokam obsidian acquisition within the Tucson Basin.
